Delhi Collection
Delhi, the pearl of India, carries within its veins the untold history of three empires, making it unique and fascinating.
The outfits in the Delhi collection are inspired by the asymmetrical Indian shoulder, reminiscent of the sari, shimmering fabrics straight out of the imagination of the Maharajas, and vibrant colors evoking joie de vivre.
Audrey, why did you choose the Emirates as your inspiration?
I lived in India for three years. At first, I explored the country with an incredible thirst for discovery. I saw a continent-sized country, rich in colors, textures, cultures, and folklore. Between the arid north near the Himalayas, dotted with Buddhist and Tibetan temples, and the lush forests of the south, the wonder never ceased! Then, confined to my home in Delhi during COVID, I had plenty of time to dream. I was able to sew, cut, assemble... and relive all my wonderful trips, conceptualizing a collection rich with all my experiences. When I moved away from this wonderful country, I wanted to bring a piece of its magic with me and relive it every day.
What attracted you to the Emirates in terms of fashion?
I was fascinated by the sari, this amazing mass of fabric (sometimes 6 to 8 meters long!) that, when wrapped so delicately, becomes a dress with a thousand folds! It was all in the drape and asymmetry!
